USA Today International jumps on Web

Gannett Co.'s USA Today International opened a public site on the World Wide Web, marking the newspaper's first step toward making its U.S.-based online service available to users throughout Europe and Asia. The public Web site offers a sampling of USA Today Online, a subscription-only service launched in April. Separately, The Wall Street Journal opened Money & Investing Update, offering continuously updated financial information on the Web. The Update is the first step toward a full interactive Journal, which will make its debut by early next year.
