USAir Tuesday announced the change of its name to US Airways, and a new stylized American flag logo plus planes painted dark blue with a gray underbelly. Advertising of the new name and look are not planned before early next year, when some of the new planes will appear. The airline said it did not plan a review of its account with McCann-Erickson or any changes to its annual $37 million media budget. The moves come a week after an announcement to purchase 120 new Airbus jets and the breakoff of its relationship with British Airways.
