Users of Online services growing

The number of consumer online service subscribers grew by 37.3% to 8.5 million in the first half of 1995, according to the newsletter Electronic Information Report. It predicted that the number will exceed 11 million by year end. America Online posted the biggest gain, jumping 100% and adding 1.5 million subscribers, according to the newsletter. CompuServe remained the largest consumer online service with 3.2 million subscribers, and Prodigy's subscriber base increased 12.5% to 1.4 million.
