ValueVision International, the national cable home-shopping network of which NBC has a equity stake, announced that it would be re-branded starting in June with two new names -- ShopNBC, for its cable network, and ShopNBC.com, for its Web site. ValueVision executives note that NBC's brand is more widely recognized, and say it should help it garner expansion with promotional activities, as well as cable and satellite distribution.

ValueVision currently reaches a total of 36 million cable and satellite households, in addition to being available on the Internet.
