Valvoline on May 11 becomes the first motor oil marketer on the World Wide Web with a site linked to the Indianapolis 500. The site will feature race information, historic racing photos, technical drawings of race cars and current data on Indy 500 qualifying times and statistics. Created by Poppe Tyson, the site is a precursor to Valvoline's full home page, scheduled to open next month.

Warner Bros. on May 15 opens a World Wide Web site hyping "Batman Forever," its summer flick starring Val Kilmer. Bat-fans will be able to peruse the Gotham Library, a compendium of production notes and cast biographies; post notes to characters at the Gotham City Post Office; hear advance samples of the soundtrack; and check out the Batcave's futuristic devices. The site is also accessible through Time Inc.'s Pathfinder.
