Venture does $1 million Web media buy

Venture Communications' @venture unit on Monday announced the completion of a $1 million Web media buy for Internet-related clients, including e-mail service provider USA.NET, Colorado Springs, Colo., and network equipment manufacturer Cabletron, Rochester, N.H.

Venture, a New York-based direct-response company, bought ads on WebCrawler, Excite, Magellan, AltaVista, Playboy, Lycos, TechWeb, InfoSeek, Computer Currents Interactive.
