Verdict on the Intel online-up

Published on .

Intel Corp. said its Super Bowl whodunit spot asking viewers to vote on the Web on who stole a Pentium II chip drew 388,671 votes--51% for ``Suzy the Mouse,'' 49% for ``Jimmy.'' Based on the vote, Intel ran a 30-second spot in the fourth quarter pronouncing Suzy the guilty party. Some people had minor trouble getting onto the Intel site immediately after the whodunit ran, but Intel said its Pentium II- and Pentium Pro-based servers performed flawlessly in handling the traffic.
