Verizon narrows review for $40 mil acc't

Verizon Communications has narrowed the review for its $40 million Wireless Northwest account to seven agencies. The finalists are: AKQA, San Francisco; Barkley Evergreen & Partners, Kansas City, Missouri; Interpublic Group of Cos.' Campbell Mithun, Minneapolis (the incumbent); Havas Advertising's Euro RSCG Tatham, Chicago; Fogarty Klein Monroe, Houston; Interpublic's GMO/Hill, Holliday, San Francisco; and True North Communications' Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas. The agencies will make final pitches at the end of March. Wanamaker Associates is the consultant.
