(April 16, 2001) -- Verizon Information Services is expected to announce today that it has signed marketing agreements with CMGI's online marketing solutions company Engage, and with Eversave, which provides infrastructure for online coupons to enable small- to medium-size businesses that are listed on Verizon's SuperPages.com site to expand their online advertising options.

In the future, companies listed in the SuperPages.com directory will be able to make banner ads and online coupons through Verizon, with Verizon's national Yellow Pages sales force taking on some of the duties.

Advertisers will have access to LocalNet, Engage's local channel sales option, which will also allow them to target by category. Verizon's coupon product will allow coupons to appear directly next to company listings.
