Veronis reports communications growth

Revenues in the communications industry posted the second straight year of double-digit revenue growth, to $173.9 billion for 1995, according to Veronis, Suhler & Associates' Communications Industry Report issued Monday. Total revenues reported by more than 400 public communications companies jumped 13.2%, up from 11.1% the previous year. Interactive digital media companies showed the most dramatic growth with a 49.8% revenue increase. Subscription video service companies posted the second-highest growth with revenues of $27.8 billion, a 21.9% gain in 1995, fueled by growth of DBS and wireless cable business.
