Vicinity provides local listings to OmniSky wireless users

OmniSky Corp., a wireless Internet service provider, and Vicinity Corp., which creates local listings through its BrandFinder wireless application, inked a deal to enable OmniSky mobile users to access retailing, restaurants and service listings. Vicinity will provide OmniSky subscribers with comprehensive location information on most recognized brand-name customers and more than 12 million bricks-and-mortar locations, along with driving directions to those locations. Separately, OmniSky will feature Forbes.com's technology, business and financial content on its wireless service under a deal involving the two companies.
