Victoria's Secret parent opens cosmetics company

Intimate Brands, the Columbus, Ohio-based parent of Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works, opened a company to expand its portfolio of beauty brands. Robin Burns, former president-CEO of Estee Lauder USA & Canada, was named president of the new Intimate Beauty Corp. Ms. Burns joined Intimate Brands parent Limited Corp. in July 1998. Intimate Beauty will be based in New York, and will expand on Victoria's Secret Beauty Co., a division that distributes personal-care products through Victoria's Secret stores, and also open its own stores. Budd Taylor, exec VP-general manager of Victoria's Secret Beauty, will report to Ms. Burns. The division posted sales of $420 million in 1997.
