NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- The theft and online distribution of proprietary editorial work, copyrighted images and cover layouts of leading magazines is a huge and growing problem in this age of anything-goes blogging. Hearst Magazines' director of editorial operations, Ellen Payne, compares it to other serious crimes such as identity theft. In this video, Ad Age media reporter Nat Ives takes a look at some of the more recent incidents that have forced a growing number of magazine editors to implement new security measures.
