VideoGuide service shuts down

Electronic program guide VideoGuide has been permanently discontinued as of Sept. 3. The company has closed its doors. Posted on its Web site is a message informing users the service has been turned off, with instructions on how to get refunds, which the company will issue by December. The company's main office in Bedford, Mass., is playing a prerecorded message advising customers how to return their VideoGuide boxes (postage prepaid, please) to qualify for the refund.
