(April 25, 2001) -- Michelin North America cut the list of contenders in its agency search to six shops. Remaining are Interpublic Group of Cos. shops Campbell-Ewald, Detroit, Carmichael Lynch, Minneapolis, and The Martin Agency, Richmond, Va.; Bcom3 Group's Leo Burnett, USA, Chicago; Omnicom Group's Merkley Newman Harty, New York; and The Richards Group, Dallas. Jones Lundin Beals, Chicago, is consulting. Previously, Omnicom's DDB Worldwide, New York, handled the $35 million account. -- Laura Hughes
