Virgin on Times Square

Published on .

Virgin Atlantic Airways' "Virgin Mega-Clock," a large animated sign, was unveiled at Times Square in New York Thursday. It features a British Guardsman hour hand and a guardhouse minute hand. Above the clock are the words "Time to Fly." The clock, six inches larger than London's Big Ben, is located at 1540 Broadway, above the entrance to a new Virgin Megastore, a music store due to open in April. The airline and store are both owned by British entrepreneur Richard Branson.
