LONDON-A 40-year voluntary ban on alcohol TV ads came to an end June 8 in the U.K. with Virgin Group's first TV campaign for Virgin vodka.

The 10-second spot begins with a ghostlike voice informing viewers: "This is the first televised message from the spirit world." A bottle of Virgin vodka then appears through a kind of mist, accompanied by the words "spookily pure."

Spending wasn't disclosed; Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe is the agency.
