VW seeks agency for ‘secret project’

Published on .

German automaker Volkswagen has asked Ted Hoevel Communications, Wolfsburg, Germany, to screen agencies to pitch for a secret project early next year, according to industry insiders. Six agencies have been invited, including DDB Worldwide, Berlin, Weber Hodel Schmidt, Zurich, Grey Worldwide, Duesseldorf, and three unidentified agencies. None of the agencies would confirm the pitch. The project is believed to involve Volkswagen's luxury marques, including Bugatti, Lamborghini and Bentley. Volkswagen did not return calls.
