Warner teams with Jordan

Published on .

Warner Bros. confirmed Tuesday that basketball superstar Michael Jordan will star in a live action and animation feature film with Bugs Bunny and other WB Looney Toons characters. The movie, called "Space Jam," is a spin-off of his TV spots for McDonald's. The film will be directed by Joe Pytka, who previously directed those spots, and produced by Ivan Reitman. It is scheduled for late 1996 release. David Falk, chairman of FAME, a sports management and marketing company, and co-executive producer of the film, predicted extensive cross-promotion. Details regarding marketing and celebrity cameos have yet to be decided.
