Watch a man sleep, via the Web

Published on .

From the "weird but true" Web site files: Starting Dec. 16, Discovery Channel Online will provide a live "sleep cam" view of correspondent Vince Rause, who is using the site to chronicle his month-long quest to cure his sleep problems. The site will feature images of Vince sleeping, updated once a minute, via a digital camera located at a sleep clinic in Montreal. Viewers (who if they're logging on at 3 a.m. are probably also insomniacs) will even be able to watch Vince's brain images and track the effect of stimuli on his dreams. But no, Discovery probably won't let viewers use their online connections to influence Vince's dreams.
