The Head of Kevin Garnett
Marketer: Adidas
Brand: Adidas
Title: "Made to Perfection"
Agency: TBWA/Chiat/Day

The source of America's top basketball stars has finally been revealed in this Adidas spot. High in the sky, like a sports deity, a Geppetto of the NBA lovingly crafts each star to perfection before he sets them down in the country's great arenas. Here, we watch him make Kevin Garnett, Tracey McGrady and Tim Duncan.

Gene Kelly, Break Dancer
Marketer: Volkswagen
Brand: Volkswagen
Title: "Singin' in the Rain"
Agency: DDB, New York

A commercial reprise of Gene Kelly's famous 1952 'Singin' in the Rain' dance routine re-envisions how it might have been with break dancing. The set looks like the movie's original, except for the extreme choreography.

Banned From The Super Bowl
Client: Miller Brewing Co.
Brand: Miller Lite
Title: "Got It"
Agency: Martin Agency, Richmond, Va.
This ad sparked controversy last week when Fox refused to accept it for play during the Super Bowl pre-game show. The spot is designed to attack arch rival Anheuser-Busch's new Budweiser Select beer. Fox rejected it on the grounds that the network did not want to offend Anheuser-Busch, the Bowl's single-largest advertising spender.

Budweiser Select
Client: Anheuser-Busch
Brand: Budweiser Select
Title: "Budweiser Select"
Agency: DDB, Chicago

Meanwhile, big-bucks Anheuser-Busch got to run its Budweiser Select ad in the Super Bowl without having some pesky competitor stealing its new product's thunder. It was the latest demonstration of that old adage that money talks as well as muffles.

Geometic Cogs
Marketer: Honda
Brand: Honda FR-V
Title: "Together"
Agency: Wieden & Kennedy, London

From the same crew that devised 'Cog' comes the wildly different 'Together.' Using starkly simple rectangles and circles, the animation tells the story of a young couple as they find true love, have a child, acquire a dog and then a purchase a sturdy car to cart them forward on their happy journey. A brilliant bit of geometric anthropomorphism if we ever saw one.

The Clydesdale Zoo
Client: Anheuser-Busch
Brand: Budweiser
Title: "Journey"
Agency: DDB, Chicago
The cutest spot in this year's Super Bowl was this one -- although you had to have watched "Born a Donkey" in last year's game to fully get it. This year, a pig, giraffe, ostrich, camel, elephant and buffalo converged on the Clydesdale barn in hopes of the same thing the donkey got.

Clydesdale Donkey
Client: Anheuser-Busch
Brand: Budweiser
Title: "Born a Donkey"
Agency: Goodby Silverstein & Partners

Last year's original is a story of dogged determination and personal triumph as a lowly donkey achieves his dream and wins a spot on the world-famous Clydesdale wagon team.

Abraham Lincoln French Fry
Marketer: McDonald's
Brand: McDonald's
Title: "Lincoln Fry/Web"
Agency: DDB Chicago

The Super Bowl 30-second versions of this 'Abraham Lincoln French Fry' ad were portions of a longer two-minute and 20-second spot produced for McDonald's Web site. This is the full -- and much zanier -- Web version.
