WaveTop signs commerce partners

Wireless push company WaveTop has signed its first electronic commerce partners, whose products will be available on the ad-supported data broadcast service that's delivered to home PCs. WaveTop's partners are Barnes & Noble's online bookstore, computer reseller NECX, and N2K's Music Boulevard. WaveTop, which uses the Public Broadcasting Service network to push multimedia content to users equipped with a broadcast-ready PC, will earn a share of merchandise sales conducted through the service.
