Weather Channel redefines look

Published on .

The Weather Channel unveiled its redesigned Web site with a new interface and lots of graphics. Features on the site include daily updates of weather in more than 1,000 U.S. cities and close to 200 international cities; national U.S. Doppler Radar maps and satellite maps covering every geographic region of the world; and Quickfinder, a search engine to deliver fast weather information. Another area on the site is "Met on the Net," an interactive feature that allows consumers to e-mail meteorologists questions about the weather. Each day a meteorologist answers a different weather-related question. The site is ad supported.
