New Web ad management system

NetGravity, San Mateo, Calif., has begun an online ad management system called AdServer. The service uses database technology to offer configuration of optimal buys, delivery schedules and reporting. Internet search service Yahoo! Corp., Mountain View, Calif., is the first Web site to test the product.

The software can generate reports for advertisers and publishers; coordinate impression-based scheduling; organize ad categories; and rotate ads across a site. Pricing is tiered based on a site's traffic.
