US Web names Shaw CEO

US Web, Santa Clara, Calif., named Robert Shaw as its new CEO. Mr. Shaw most recently was exec VP-worldwide consulting services for Oracle Corp. Former CEO Joe Firmage becomes chief strategist for the company and will remain on the board. US Web is in the process of merging with agency CKS Group, Cupertino, Calif., and renaming the new entity Reinvent. Mr. Shaw will then become CEO of Reinvent. Mark Kvamme, chairman of CKS Group, is expected to become chairman of the board of Reinvent.
