Web revenues to top $1.5 trillion, study says

Global sales through the Web will total more than $1.5 trillion by 2002, according to projections from researcher ActivMedia. The study projects that sales will jump from $2.7 million last year to a whopping $24.4 million this year. ActivMedia also said that by 2000 2% of global gross domestic product will be through Net-assisted sales. The survey is based on responses from more than 3,500 marketers.
