Web stocks continue to climb

Internet stocks continued to skyrocket Jan. 11 with Internet audio and video broadcast site Broadcast.com leading the way. Broadcast.com, which Jan. 11 announced a 2-for-1 stock split in the form of a stock dividend, saw its stock rise $87-9/16 to close the day at $285-1/16. Other climbers included Yahoo!, which rose to $414-1/2, up $70-7/8; Lycos to $131, up $39-1/4; Infoseek Corp. to $87-3/4, up $32-5/8; and Excite to $83-3/4, up $23-3/4.
