WebCrawler books BarnesandNoble.com

Published on .

Search engine Excite announces Monday that BarnesandNoble.com will be the exclusive bookseller on its WebCrawler search service. Under the terms of the two-year deal, BarnesandNoble.com and WebCrawler will split revenue generated from the site, and book titles will be integrated into relevant search results.

BarnesandNoble.com's content will also be spread throughout WebCrawler's new channel format, which is also being unveiled today, with a main presence in the Arts & Books Channel.

Excite recently signed a similar deal with B&N competitor Amazon.com to be the exclusive bookseller on Excite.
