Webhelp.com, a Toronto-based start-up, wants to introduce a live human element into the search engine process. On Nov. 30, it unveils an ad-supported search service that connects users with a live Web specialist who will help them with their search inquiries through real-time text chat. Webhelp.com is also rolling out WebHelpMeShop, a service to help connect users with shopping sites and help them comparison shop online. Along with the free service, Webhelp is also introducing the fee-based Webhelp Express Service. The premium service, which promises to be faster, costs 99 cents per inquiry or $9.99 a month for unlimited searches.
