WebTV launches promo on "Rosie"

Published on .

Philips Consumer Electronics is donating some 200 Internet TV terminals to the studio audience of "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." The talk show host earlier this year mentioned how much she enjoyed her Philips WebTV, so the marketer made them available to her audience. WebTV Networks, a subscription-based online service, is also providing three months of free Internet service to each recipient of the Philips Magnavox unit.
