Wedding market proves fertile online

The online wedding marketplace is growing as WeddingChannel.com gears up to compete with other players in the $35 billion wedding industry. WeddingChannel.com plans to provide honeymoon planning services through an alliance with Worldview Systems for travel content and the Internet Travel Network for online travel reservations and booking. Competitor The Knot has sought similar alliances, such as an exclusive marketing and promotional deal with Bloomingdale's department stores.
