Wendy's doughnut chain readies first U.S. ads

Tim Hortons, the Canadian doughnut chain acquired by Wendy's International in late 1995, is prepping its first TV ads for the U.S., where it now has 70 outlets. The campaign from Enterprise, Toronto, breaks Oct. 6 in Columbus, Ohio, and Detroit. Observers view Tim Hortons as a way for Wendy's to add breakfast.
