SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Wieden & Kennedy, New York, has picked up an assignment from Avon Products for its newly launched in-store shops, Avon Centers.

The first of the Avon Centers were rolled out at J.C. Penney locations. Print ads for the openings broke in September magazines. WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson and Thompson Connect direct response arm handled that campaign.

The centers sell a product line called beComing. More centers are expected to open at other retail locations.

Billings for the current project are estimated at under $10 million.
