Wieden said to be seeking office in Tokyo

Wieden & Kennedy is said to be deploying Creative Director Larry Frey to Japan, amid rumors the agency is planning to open a Tokyo office. Wieden executives didn't return calls. A spokesman for McCann-Erickson Worldwide, which has an alliance with Wieden in Japan to service Nike and Microsoft Corp., said the status of their venture remains unchanged. Wieden is trying to beef up its international resources, and also is said to be mulling a London office.
