Wigand appeal on Court TV

Published on .

Court TV Dec. 14 will begin live coverage of an appeal before the Kentucky Supreme Court to set aside a temporary restraining order barring former tobacco executive Jeffrey Wigand from disclosing information about Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. The company is suing Mr. Wigand, a former B&W VP of research and development, for theft, fraud and breach of contract for allegedly violating confidentiality agreements. Mr. Wigand participated in a "60 Minutes" TV story about tobacco safety but his segment never aired. CBS said it was concerned about legal problems connected with Mr. Wigand.
