Wizard of Oz push

MGM/United Artists Home Entertainment has enlisted Discover Card and Greyhound as promotional partners for a September marketing push behind "The Wizard of Oz" home video. The division will take the film classic off the market in December for the remainder of the century. Discover is offering a $5 rebate to those who pay for the $19.98 video with its card. It will support its promo with a $1.5 million TV ad campaign via DDB Needham, Chicago. Greyhound is supporting its sponsorship with a $1 million print campaign. MGM/UA Home Entertainment is pitching in with $5 million in ad support, done in-house, for the video, which boasts new packaging and enhanced sound quality.
