Wooden to leave Ad Council

Advertising Council President Ruth A. Wooden said she plans to leave the post this summer, after presiding at the annual meeting in May. Ms. Wooden has held the post for more than 11 years. The council, under Ms. Wooden, raised nearly $1 billion in donated advertising last year. It's expected to conduct an executive search for a successor to Ms. Wooden.The search for a successor will be headed by Bob Wehling, Procter & Gamble Co. senior VP-advertising, market research and government relations, and chairman emeritus of the New York-based Ad Council.
