Work.com breaks first ads

Work.com, Redwood City, Calif., on Oct. 3 unveiled its first campaign, following the August launch of the Web site. The campaign kicked off with a page ad in The Wall Street Journal, radio spots in New York and San Francisco, and an online and e-mail campaign targeting business people at more than 100 Web properties. The advertising from MarchFirst, San Francisco, is tagged "Rise up and prosper." Work.com was formed through a partnership between Excite@Home and Dow Jones & Co., and provides content and services for small and midsize businesses.
