CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Direct response TV rep WorldLink International, Los Angeles, has inked an exclusive deal with CNBC to handle direct response sales in CNBC Europe.

"The meteoric events in the global stock markets have made business and financial programming 'must viewing' for those who are interested in growing their portfolios," Toni Knight, president of WorldLink, said in a statement. "We expect that CNBC Europe will enable our agency clients to reach an affluent new market segment interested in high-end direct response purchasing."

The business news channel produced jointly by General Electric Co.'s NBC and Dow Jones & Co., currently is in 70 million homes and more than 330,000 mostly high-end hotel rooms throughout Europe.
