WPP Group resumes merger talks

WPP Group, London, put the London stock exhange on notice today: It has resumed its merger talks with Young & Rubicam, New York. The merger would create the world's largest ad agency. Meanwhile, Paris-based Publicis also remains in negotiations for Y&R, said executives at the French agency.
