WSJ.com swings for the green with interactive golf promotional effort

The Wall Street Journal is rolling out an interactive golf consumer promotion for WSJ.com. Business professionals in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston will get a chance to play an interactive game of golf as part of an effort to get them to read WSJ.com and sign up for a free trial subscription. This is the first significant promotion of the online Journal; key celebrities and sports personalities have been signed to make appearances during the six-week promotion. Radio and online advertising support the effort; Octagon Sports Marketing, Stamford, Conn., handles.
