is rolling out an interactive golf consumer promotion for WSJ.com

Business professionals in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston will get a chance to play an interactive game of golf as part of an effort to get them to read WSJ.com and sign up for a free trial subscription. This is the first significant promotion of the online Journal; key celebrities and sports personalities have been signed to make appearances during the six-week promotion. Radio and online advertising support the effort; Octagon Sports Marketing, Stamford, Conn., handles.
