The season premiere of "The X-Files" on Fox last Friday scared away the competition, helping Fox to its strongest showing ever on Friday night. "The X-Files" scored a 12.3 rating and 22 share, up 34% in rating and 38% in share over the show's premiere last year, according to Nielsen figures. Overall, Fox earned a 10.1 rating/18 share from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. (ET), second only to ABC, which garnered a 12 rating/22 share. CBS was third with a 7.5 rating/14 share and NBC was fourth with a 5.1 rating/9 share.
