Xceed acquires methodfive for $75 million

Xceed, New York, which develops e-business strategies, acquired methodfive, a Web development company that creates online businesses, for $75 million; $70.5 million was in stock and $4.5 million was in cash. Methodfive clients include the Economist Group, the New York Times Corp., Warner-Lambert Co., Fox Networks, BBC Worldwide, Oxford Health Group, CDnow and E.W. Scripps Co.
