Y&R buys software

Young & Rubicam signed a global license with Emotion Inc. for software allowing the agency to move video, print ads and other content electronically between Y&R offices and between Y&R and clients. Y&R says the software will shorten production cycles and make it easier to share creative resources. Y&R is the second major agency concern to buy software from Emotion, a Palo Alto, Calif., software developer; True North Communications bought the software in June
