Y&R cut in IHF agency shifts

Published on .

International Home Foods, Parsippany, N.J., in a surprise move, shifted $38 million in spending to Fogarty Klein & Partners, Houston, from Y&R Advertising, New York, including its Chef Boyardee and Crunch 'n Munch snack foods. At the same time, Pam and Polaner, two other IHF brands with an estimated $15 million in spending, shifted from Y&R to Northlich Stolley LaWarre, Cincinnati. Fogarty Klein already handles IHF's RoTel tomatoes and Northlich this year was awarded IHF's Luck's beans and Gulden's brands. IHF also moved its media assignment to Omnicom Group's Advanswers, St. Louis, from Y&R. IHF spent an estimated $58 million in measured media last year, according to Competitive Media Reporting.
