Y&R revises SEC registration

Young & Rubicam Inc., New York, will begin trading at a price between $21 and $24 a share when it goes public this year, according to documents filed April 8 with the Securities & Exchange Commission. In a revised registration statement, Y&R said it will sell 16.6 million shares of stock, 9.9 million owned by employee shareholders and investment bank Hellman & Friedman Partners, and another 6.7 million owned by the company. The majority of the shares, 13.3 million, will sell in the U.S. and another 3.3 million will sell outside the U.S. and Canada.
