Published on .

Young & Rubicam, New York, saw net income triple to $12 million in the first quarter and revenues rise to $348 million during the first quarter of 1998, up 20% from the same period in 1997. According to documents filed today with the Securities & Exchange Commission, Y&R nearly doubled its income from operations to $25 million in the first quarter from $14 million in 1997. The company is in the midst of a ``road show'' of analysts presentations in anticipation for its initial public offering, which could come as early as the end of the month.
