Yahoo to add agency

Yahoo Corp., Sunnyvale, Calif., the Web search service, has contacted a handful of agencies to compete for its new $5 million consumer ad account. The search engine market is getting quite crowded, with entries ranging from Lycos to Webcrawler to Excite to Digital's Alta Vista. Infoseek, another competitor, last month named Margeotes Fertitta & Partners, New York, to its account, with $3 million to $5 million in billings for the first half of the year.
