Published on .

Yahoo! has acquired Online Anywhere, which provides Web delivery for non-PC appliances, including TV-based Internet appliances, personal digital assistants and wireless devices such as pagers and data phones.

The all-stock deal is valued at about $80 million. Yahoo! formed a partnership with Online Anywhere in April. Yahoo! plans to customize its content for non-PC devices.

America Online has long been pursuing a similar initiative called AOL Anywhere.
