Yahoo! eyes TV, handhelds

Published on .

Yahoo! inked a deal with Online Anywhere, a company that delivers Internet pages to handheld computers, organizers and TV-based Web sets. Working with Online Anywhere, Yahoo! content and services will be accessible through personal digital assistants and TV-based Internet appliances. Users will be able to pull up My Yahoo! features including e-mail, calendar, stock quotes, maps, sports, weather, yellow pages and restaurant guides. America Online is working on a similar service through its relationship with Sun Microsystems and recently acquired Netscape Communications Corp.
